Updates on CorridorToZero.EU have been presented in Madrid
The European Corridor to Zero strives to solve the chicken and egg problem plaguing the decarbonization of heavy transport out of the main routes. Without the capability to charge a trucking fleet on the road, transport and logistics companies continue to order combustion engines. At the same time, without a large demand for charging stations, new ones for the trucking market are not being installed. As a result deployment of the infrastructure keeps to be delayed as no single entity has the proper incentives to decarbonize freight transport in these areas.
While solving the problems of decarbonizing freight transport, the European Corridor to Zero actively supports the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. We want to connect their transport and energy sectors with the European zero emission corridor and fortify ties to the EU.
GNerdiX initiated and conceptually developed the zero emission road freight corridor from Ukraine to Benelux and later adding the rout from the North to South via Helsinki and Tallinn. The Corridor project is being developed in a strategic partnership of AVERE Ukraine, Ukrainian Association for Electromobility, Sustainable Transport and Infrastructure and EV Consult B.V., Netherlands.
The updates on progress of CorridorToZero.EU have been presented by Denis Radiuk, founder of GNerdiX representing as well AVERE Ukraine, in Madrid during the meeting of signatories of the Global MoU on Zero Emission Heavy Duty Vehicles organized by Calstart under DriveToZero prorgram.
